1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the CasualMine application (the "App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this User Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you must immediately cease using and uninstall the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use this App. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your country of residence, including those related to cryptocurrency mining and financial activities.
3. Description of Service & Critical Configuration Warning
CasualMine provides a software platform designed to assist users in configuring cryptocurrency mining hardware, creating digital asset wallets, and accessing market information.
3.1 Default Configuration Warning
The App may provide default or suggested configurations for convenience. YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE that it is YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY to review, verify, and correctly input ALL critical parameters, including but not limited to your digital wallet address and mining pool settings, before initiating any mining activity. Default settings are for reference only and may not be valid or suitable for your specific setup.
3.2 No Liability for Configuration Errors
CasualMine shall not be held liable for ANY loss of cryptocurrency, mining rewards, or any other damages arising from your failure to modify default configurations, your input of incorrect configuration parameters, or any other configuration error made by you.
4. User Responsibilities and Risks
4.1 Mining Risks
You understand that cryptocurrency mining involves significant financial risk, including but not limited to volatility in coin value, changes in mining difficulty, hardware costs, and electricity expenses. Profits are not guaranteed and losses may occur.
4.2 Asset Security
You are solely and entirely responsible for securing your mining equipment, wallet private keys, recovery phrases, and passwords. CasualMine shall not be liable for any loss of funds due to lost keys, hacked wallets, fraudulent transactions, or user error.
4.3 Legal Compliance
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes that may arise from your mining activities or capital gains in your jurisdiction.
5. Wallet Functionality
The wallet generation feature is provided as a convenience. You agree that you will follow all security best practices, including backing up your recovery phrase offline in a secure location. CasualMine cannot recover your wallet or funds if you lose access.
6. Third-Party Links and Information
The App may display market data, news, or links to third-party websites. This information is provided for informational purposes only. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of any third-party content.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CASUALMINE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL CASUALMINE, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR DIGITAL ASSETS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CasualMine from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your breach of this Agreement, your use of the App, or your mining activities.
10. Modifications and Termination
We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We may also suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
